In a remarkable development, SolarEdge Technologies Inc., an Israeli-based S&P 500 company, is joining forces with Saudi Arabian firm Ajlan & Bros Holding to drive the advancement of renewable energy initiatives in Riyadh.This groundbreaking partnership between two non-formally recognized countries aims to support Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan, an ambitious endeavor championed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.The plan's primary objectives include diversifying the kingdom's economy away from oil dependency and attracting substantial investments, marking a significant step toward a sustainable future.

 

The announcement came on the heels of a meeting between Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and US Special Envoy Dan Shapiro, where discussions centered around deepening Israel's relations with Middle Eastern countries. The United States has been actively encouraging an alliance between Israel and Saudi Arabia, though progress has been impeded by deteriorating relations between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Palestinians. As a result, this collaboration represents a significant stride forward. Following the news, SolarEdge shares rose 2% on Monday to $241.46, its biggest jump since mid-July,and the company is valued at $13.6 billion.
